Registration and Testing for 2024-25
New and returning MVSRA members must annually complete the following:

New Members Register with the MVSRA.
- Create a new MVSRA account.
- Enter in your personal information.
- Read and agree to the online Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA).
- MVSRA registration is free, register with the MVSRA.
- Log in to your existing MVSRA account.
- Update your membership for a new season.
- Verify your contact information.
- Read and agree to the online Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA).
- Update your MVSRA registration.

Register with the OSAA.
- If you do not have an ArbiterSports account, you can create a new account during the registration process. If you already have an ArbiterSports account, use that account's email address and password. Your information will be pre-loaded, review it for accuracy.
- Follow the instructions and provide all of the required information.
- You will need to provide your SSN for a background check and to be paid by the MVSRA.
Officials may not have been convicted of: 1) a felony involving the use, possession or sale of a controlled substance within the last 10 years; or 2) a crime involving the use or threatened use of violence against a person within the last 10 years; or 3) a crime involving a minor child at any time. - Select "105927 MVSRA" as your local association.
- OSAA registration for 2024-25 costs $89.00, register with the OSAA.

Attend an optional fitness testing session.
- Physical fitness is a criteria used by the MVSRA in assigning referees to Varsity contests.
- The Cooper & Sprint test includes a 12 minute run, 200 M run, and 50 M sprint.
- This is a great opportunity to meet other officials and show the MVSRA your level of fitness.

Get trained and attend meetings.
- New Members, the MVSRA provides introductory training clinics, Soccer Referee 101, for first time referees. These clinics are required for new officials.
- All Members are required to attend regular meetings.

Complete the online concussion training course.
- As a requirement for OSAA certification and MVSRA membership, referees must annually complete the online concussion training course provided by the OSAA for officials.
- This training must be done annually and must be completed before being assigned to a game.

- Click on the current year's OSAA Soccer under Current Eligibilities.
- Scroll until you find the requirement named "Understanding Concussions - What Officials Need to Know".
- Click the Take Online Clinic link for either the English or Spanish version of the course.
- Follow the on screen instructions to complete the training course.

Pass the annual OSAA Soccer Rules exam.
- Test preparation is covered during regular meetings. Prep materials are also available on the Members Training page.
- All MVSRA referees must pass the test with a minimum score of 75%.
- Playoff qualifying referees must pass the test with a minimum score of 90%.
- Take the OSAA Soccer Rules Exam.
